Antonio Vizintín -  Los Andes survivor

Antonio Vizintin, Tintín, was born in Montevideo in 1953. He atened the Christian Brothers School.

He is currently the vicepresident of the Uruguayan Rugby Union and member of the administration board of the Viven Foundation.

His great physical strength as well as the moral values instilled in him by the Irish Brothers were engraved deeply within him, making Antonio someone capable of overcoming any obstacle.

Pushing feelings aside in order to always move forward is a key characteristic of the Prop forward, one which will allow him to face his own Andes Mountain during his life.

In the accident he suffered wounds of varying degrees, which he could forget about thanks to his strong spirit, allowing him to focus on his objective: survival.

After the accident he continued with his law degree. He got married and shortly his first wife passed away, leaving him a widower with two children.

His motto was to always stand up straight, keep walking in spite of difficulties. He is currently married to Josefina Serrato.

He was involved in the plastic packaging industry for 13 years, and also participated in the food industry.

These days he dedicates his time to real estate development projects and at conferences as a motivational speaker around the world.

He lives a quiet simple life, enjoys his children and grandchildren fully, and also enjoys yachting.

In summary, Antonio is a very optimistic and happy person in spite of all he has been through, and even though he appears tough and inscrutable, he is a very giving person, fully committed to his ideals.

A pillar of strength and spirit, always pushing forward, motivating and inspiring.
